Johnson Controls seeks an Experienced Sprinkler Inspector to join our on-site team in Reno, NV. You will perform inspections, document findings, and ensure compliance with NFPA codes across facilities.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years in fire protection or sprinkler inspection.
• NICET/NFPA certification preferred but not required.
• Ability to read schematics and technical documents.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA codes, including NFPA 25.
• Excellent troubleshooting and attention to detail.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Commitment to safety and policy adherence.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and testing of fire sprinkler systems according to NFPA codes, local regulations, and manufacturer specs.
• Conduct functional tests of sprinkler control valves, systems, and equipment to verify operation.
• Inspect piping, fittings, and connections for corrosion, leaks, or damage; recommend repairs.
• Document inspection findings accurately and comprehensively with deficiencies and actions.
• Communicate with clients, providing guidance and addressing concerns about fire protection systems.
• Coordinate with internal teams to schedule inspections and maintain workflow.
• Stay updated on industry advancements and regulatory changes.
