Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking an inspector to perform building sprinkler inspections, test devices, and record results. You will generate required reports and assist the Lead Inspector and Inspection Manager with data collection and paperwork.

Ideal candidates have NFPA knowledge, strong communication, and enjoy working in a team. College degree preferred; NICET certification is a plus, and a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• NFPA standards knowledge for inspection and testing of fire protection systems.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; customer service oriented.
• Must work well in a team environment; sprinkler experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform building sprinkler inspections and test devices; record results.
• Generate Sprinkler Inspection Reports, Quick Reports and Inspection Certificates.
• Assist Lead Inspector/Inspection Manager with data collection and paperwork.
• Attend monthly team meetings; perform other duties as assigned.
