Job summary

Century Fire Protection is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Inspector to inspect, test, and service fire sprinkler systems in Nashville, TN. The role involves reading blueprints, identifying deficiencies, and ensuring readiness of systems to protect lives and property.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 2–3 years of inspection experience, NFPA knowledge, and preferred NICET II/III and backflow certifications. Some overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–3 years' experience inspecting various fire sprinkler systems.
• Knowledge of NFPA codes and standards for inspection, testing and installation.
• NICET II or III certification preferred.
• Backflow certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, testing, servicing, installation, and preventative maintenance of water-based and sprinkler systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and fire codes.
• Test systems for leaks using air and liquid pressure equipment.
• Identify deficiencies and complete detailed service documentation.
• Coordinate inspection deficiencies with the service needed to correct them.
• Communicate with the Service Manager and Inspections Coordinator regarding job status, delays, and requirements.
• Help ensure customers receive work according to the proposed scope.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
