Job Title: Fire Sprinkler Inspector (49164)

Summary

Responsible for testing and inspection of fire protection systems (sprinkler & alarm), identifying deficiencies, troubleshooting existing conditions, reading and interpreting blueprints and manuals according to experience level, and writing detailed reports regarding inspection deficiencies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, testing, servicing, installation, and preventive maintenance.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and fire codes.
• Complete service documentation detailing findings as needed.
• Coordinate between inspection deficiencies and the necessary service to correct them.
• Communicate with Service Manager and/or Inspections Coordinator regarding inspection or project delays, requirements, and general status to ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED; 2-3 years experience inspecting fire sprinkler and alarm systems; or equivalent education and experience. Knowledge of NFPA codes and standards; NICET II or III Certification preferred; Backflow Certification is a plus.

Computer Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
