Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC in Saint Petersburg, FL seeks a Sprinkler Service Technician to independently service, maintain, and repair fire sprinkler systems. The role may be Journeyman level and requires adherence to NFPA standards and local codes with accurate, timely reports.

The technician will travel to job sites, communicate with customers, and follow safety procedures while supporting entry-level staff as needed. High school diploma and NICET I are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in fire and life safety as apprentice or technician.
• NICET Level I or equivalent required.
• Clean driving record and active driver’s license if driving is required.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform service, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems.
• Diagnose system deficiencies and perform corrective repairs.
• Use hand tools and testing equipment to complete assigned tasks.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.
• Accurately and timely complete required documentation and service reports.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal team members.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.

This position requires demonstrated technical competency and the ability to complete standard jobs without direct supervision.
