Job summary

Cosco Fire Protection, Inc. is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Systems Inspector to perform routine inspections, testing and preventive maintenance of automatic wet fire sprinkler systems and related life-safety equipment across the West Coast.

This role involves on-site field work, safety-conscious problem solving and customer-facing service. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of NFPA standards, experience with inspection tools and documentation, ability to work in confined spaces and climb

Qualifications

Job Title

Fire Sprinkler Systems Inspector

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, testing and preventive maintenance of automatic wet fire sprinkler systems, special hazard systems, restaurant suppression systems, fire extinguishers and emergency lighting with minimal supervision.
• Provide front line customer service and conduct system inspections.
• Diagnose and evaluate systems that require servicing and troubleshoot issues that arise during inspections.
• Provide solutions and/or recommendations to bring systems back to operating condition in the most beneficial way for the customer.

Qualifications

• Familiar with inspections and NFPA code requirements for fire sprinkler systems, special hazard systems, emergency lighting, hoods, fire extinguishers and backflow assemblies.
• Knowledge of industry standard tools such as inspectors tools, testing equipment and communication devices required.
• Proficient in completing accurate and legible paperwork that can be interpreted by others.

Additional Qualifications

• Ability to work in small and confined spaces (if needed).
• Basic skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Capable of performing physical labor, climbing ladders and working on rooftops.
• Knowledge and understanding of NFPA standards.
• Must be able to work alternate shifts and overtime if required.
• Must be punctual with excellent work ethic and strong organizational skills.

Minimum Requirements

• High school graduate or GED.
• Driver's license with clean DMV record.
