Due to continued growth, Eastern Fire Group is currently looking to add a Fire Sprinkler Inspector to our team in Auburn, ME. We seek someone who enjoys working with a variety of customers, both internal and external, in a friendly environment with excellent opportunities for development and advancement.
As a Fire Sprinkler Inspector, you will:
- Ensure high customer satisfaction through quality service.
- Complete inspections timely, ensuring work aligns with the proposed scope.
- Use an online scheduling system to manage tasks, locations, and maintain documents such as timesheets and safety audits.
- Maintain positive customer relationships and discuss inspection results with clients.
- Submit required paperwork promptly.
- Keep equipment, supplies, and company vehicle in good condition.
- Study NFPA standards related to fire protection system inspection and testing.
- Stay current with industry codes and obtain NICET certifications.
- Complete in-house and manufacturer training programs on fire protection systems.
- Obtain OSHA 10 certification through our safety program.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the department manager.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work independently after training.
- Mechanical and math aptitude.
- Professionalism and organizational skills.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience in fire sprinkler inspection, testing, maintenance, or installation.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
- Valid driver’s license.
- NICET Certification Level II or ability to obtain it immediately based on experience.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Work in industrial, commercial, and residential environments with moderate to high noise levels, including working at heights.
- Primarily physical activity: standing, walking, stairs, and some ladder work.
- May need to lift objects up to 50 pounds.
- Travel between multiple sites; overnight travel possible with notice.
- Ability to use phone and computer throughout the day.
