Job summary

1st FP Sprinkler Companies, LLC in Texas is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Fitter to install, modify, repair, and maintain fire sprinkler systems in commercial, industrial, and residential buildings. You will read blueprints, interpret hydraulic calculations, and ensure NFPA standards compliance.

Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, inspectors, and other trades while maintaining safe, organized job sites and documenting material usage. Flexible hours may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to perform physical labor up to 70 lbs.
• Willingness to learn and grow in the fire protection trade.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license preferred.
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a team-oriented attitude.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Install wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge fire sprinkler systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and hydraulic calculations.
• Cut, thread, groove, and assemble black iron, steel, and CPVC piping.
• Install hangers, supports, valves, sprinkler heads, and related components.
• Perform system modifications and repairs as needed.
• Conduct hydrostatic testing and assist with inspections.
• Ensure installations comply with NFPA standards, including NFPA 13.
• Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, inspectors, and other trades.
• Maintain clean and safe job sites.
• Complete daily work reports and material usage documentation.
• Follow all OSHA and company safety policies.
