Job summary

1st FP Sprinkler Companies, LLC is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Fitter to install, modify, repair and maintain fire sprinkler systems in commercial, industrial, and residential buildings. You will read blueprints, interpret hydraulic calculations, and ensure all work complies with NFPA standards and company safety policies.

This role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 70 lbs, and willingness to learn and grow within the fire protection trade.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
  • Experience in construction or mechanical labor is a plus.
  • Ability to perform physical labor and lift up to 70 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Install wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge fire sprinkler systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and hydraulic calculations.
  • Cut, thread, groove, and assemble piping (black iron, steel, CPVC).
  • Install hangers, supports, valves, sprinkler heads, and related components.
  • Perform system modifications and repairs as needed.
  • Conduct hydrostatic testing and assist with inspections.
  • Ensure installations comply with NFPA standards, including NFPA 13.
  • Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, inspectors, and other trades.
  • Maintain clean and safe job sites.
  • Complete daily work reports and material usage documentation.
  • Follow OSHA and company safety policies.

Position Summary

The Fire Sprinkler Fitter is responsible for the installation, modification, repair, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems in commercial, industrial, and residential buildings. This position ensures all systems are installed in compliance with applicable codes, project specifications, and company safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge fire sprinkler systems.

Requirements
  • RME-1
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous construction or mechanical labor experience is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 70 lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in physically demanding environments.
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the fire protection trade.
  • Must have reliable transportation.Valid driver’s license preferred.
  • Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a team-oriented attitude.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings or weekends, as needed.
