Job summary

DU Family of Companies is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Fitter in Auburn, ME to install overhead piping, maintain and repair sprinkler systems, and lead apprentices. You will read blueprints, apply NFPA standards, and install complex piping and risers across job sites.

The role requires extensive sprinkler installation experience (5+ years), knowledge of NFPA 13/13R/13D/14/20, and the ability to work at heights up to 100 feet. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Minimum of five years of experience installing fire sprinkler systems.
• Knowledge of NFPA codes and standards for installation/maintenance.
• Ability to read blueprints and project specifications.
• Ability to direct and train apprentices.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications.
• Install overhead sprinkler piping and standpipe systems.
• Equip risers, backflow devices, pumps, and control valves.
• Lead and train fire sprinkler apprentices on site.
• Follow safety practices when using tools and equipment.
