Ironsmith Fire, LLC is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Designer in Houston to create detailed plans for automatic sprinkler systems across diverse buildings. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure designs meet codes and project requirements, delivering accurate shop drawings and submittals.

The role requires a solid foundation in fire protection systems, ISA/NICET credentials, and proficiency with CAD tools.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree in business administration, engineering technology, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 2 years in fire sprinkler design or NICET Level II.
Comprehensive understanding of the fire protection industry and regulations.
NICET Certification advantageous.

Responsibilities

Create detailed drawings and schematics for sprinkler systems.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and authorities to ensure code compliance.
Prepare shop drawings and submit closeout documents as required by the project.
Perform calculations for water flow, pressure, and pipe sizing for sprinkler systems.
Support field teams during installation, testing, and commissioning of the system.
