Job summary

Ironsmith Fire, LLC is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Designer to create detailed plans and specifications for automatic fire sprinkler systems across residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings. The designer reports to the Design Manager and collaborates with architects, engineers, and field teams to ensure code compliance and on-time project delivery.

• Associates degree preferred but not required.
• Minimum 2 years in fire sprinkler design or NICET II.
• NICET certification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assess building blueprints to determine sprinkler system type and placement.
• Calculate water flow and pressure based on building size, occupancy, and hazards.
• Prepare and submit shop drawings, closeout documents, and material stocklists.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and authorities for code compliance.
• Provide technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning of sprinkler systems.
