Job summary

EMCOR Group is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Designer to design Fire Protection Systems for various projects. You will design layouts using AutoCAD/HydraCAD and create hydraulic calculations and pipe lists for pre-fabrication.

The role requires 5+ years of fire protection design experience, NICET preferred, and valid driver’s license. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, with on-site work and potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Associate or Technical Degree in a technical or business discipline or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of Fire Protection design experience.
• NICET certification preferred.
• AutoCad experience and/or Hydratec experience required.
• Valid driver’s license with excellent driving record.
• Excellent communicator and well-organized.

Responsibilities

• Design and layout of Fire Sprinkler systems.
• Read, analyze and interpret contract documents across disciplines.
• Prepare presentations and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and project cost analysis.
• Develop relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Provide sprinkler designs with AutoCAD, HydraCAD and AutoSPRINK.
• Engage in BIM modeling and field surveying.
• Create fabrication lists and coordinate between trades.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
