Job summary

Snowdon Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead its sprinkler design team and coordinate with project managers and installation crews. You will own the design process for new construction, ensuring quality and timely delivery of drawings, hydraulic calculations and technical submissions.

You will oversee team performance, schedule design work, and collaborate with estimating, permitting and field teams to keep projects on track.

Qualifications

• Five years+ experience in fire sprinkler design is required.
• Experience supervising or managing designers is required.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA standards and permitting process.
• Experience using AutoCAD or specialist sprinkler design software.
• Good communication, organization and problem-solving skills.

You’ll manage the team’s workload, maintain design quality and work closely with project managers and installation crews to keep projects moving.

What you’ll need

• At least five years’ experience in fire sprinkler design.
• Previous experience supervising or managing designers.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA standards and the permitting process.
• Experience using AutoCAD or specialist sprinkler design software.
• Good communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to visit construction sites as required.
