Job summary

Apprentices enroll in the Fire Sprinkler Apprentice Program, attend ABC apprentice school about two evenings per week (≈3 hours each), with tuition and related expenses covered by Piper Fire. Wage increases occur at set intervals throughout the program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools.
• Ability to meet driving eligibility and hold a valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to learn and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation and modification of fire sprinkler systems under supervision.
• Develop knowledge of fire sprinklers, pumps, backflows, and standpipes.
• Follow verbal and written instructions and document work.
• Demonstrate professional communication and customer service.
• Operate hand and power tools used in the trade.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow safety policies.
• Maintain driving eligibility and driving record.
