Job summary

Wayne Automatic Fire Sprinklers Inc. in Raleigh, NC is seeking an entry-level Fire Sprinkler Apprentice/Fitter to assist in the layout, assembly, and installation of pipe systems for commercial projects, under the guidance of a foreman.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and timely completion in accordance with codes and company standards. The position offers weekly pay, a benefits package including medical/dental/vision, and opportunities for career advancement through Wayne Academy.

Qualifications

• Construction experience is preferred but not required.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools.
• Ability to wear required protective equipment and adhere to safety guidelines on job sites.
• Pre-employment drug test, background check, and 10-year employment verification required.

Responsibilities

• Follow foreman directions for installation of fire sprinkler systems to complete projects on schedule and within standards.
• Assist with layout, assembly, and installation of pipe systems and related equipment.
• Perform maintenance and replacement work on system components such as valves, gauges, and switches.
• Assist in completing commercial work orders, carrying materials and equipment up stairs (up to 50 lbs.).
• Maintain safety and cleanliness on the job site and report issues to foreman.
