Job summary

Century Fire Protection in Winchester, VA is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Apprentice to assist with installing, servicing, and inspecting wet, dry, pre-action and deluge fire protection piping for commercial and industrial facilities.

In this role you will lay out pipe, connect fittings, and attach sprinkler heads while following safety rules and learning under supervision. Overtime may be required as projects demand.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; or 0-6 months related experience or training.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation and repair of fire sprinkler systems per specifications.
• Lays out strings (pipe) along designated pipeline settings in field.
• Connects pipe, using snap lock or wrench to tighten collar clamp.
• Attaches revolving sprinkler heads to vertical pipes at designated points along pipeline.
• Communicate with foreman and/or superintendent any safety hazards and discrepancies found on job site.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Adhere to company safe working policies and procedures at all times.
