THE POSITION IN A NUTSHELL

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Fitter to provide installation services of all forms of fire sprinkler systems and components. This is a key position for our growing team and requires attention to detail in all aspects of NFPA-based fire sprinkler systems. The ability to problem‑solve and communicate effectively with the Designer, Project Manager, and General Contractor is an integral part of this position.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Read and interpret blueprints to install prefabricated fire sprinkler piping.
• Work under tight deadlines on installation of new, retrofit, and tenant improvement projects.
• Cut, thread, and groove pipe to specifications using tools such as saws and pipe threaders.
• Work and coordinate with various contractors and trades to resolve coordination conflicts in the field.
• Manage job scheduling and progress efficiently and cost‑effectively, with a strong focus on quality.
• Provide support, guidance, and expertise to other field installers and helpers.
• Maintain knowledge of the fire industry and OSHA safety standards.

WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT YOU

• Two to five years of experience in field installation of fire sprinkler systems.
• Working knowledge of wet, dry, and pre‑action systems, as well as backflows and fire pumps.
• Experience with installation of underground piping preferred but not required.
• Proficient in NFPA 13, 20 and 24 code requirements.
• Ability to read fire system design drawings.
• Ability to use trade‑appropriate tools to perform daily pipe fitting duties efficiently and safely.
• Ability to train others to use trade‑appropriate tools efficiently and safely.
• Excellent organizational, decision‑making, and communication skills.
• NICET level II certification.
• Certification in backflow inspection and repair preferred.
