Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking an Apprentice Technician to start a structured apprenticeship while assisting in the installation of fire sprinkler systems. You will work under supervision, gain hands-on experience, and complete training milestones that build technical proficiency on active job sites.
Qualified candidates have a high school diploma and must be enrolled in the company’s formal apprentice program, with a valid driver’s license and a commitment to safety and documentation

The Sprinkler Install Apprentice Technician role is designated for individuals enrolled in Pye-Barker’s formal and registered apprentice program. This position focuses on developing technical competency through structured training milestones while supporting installation of fire sprinkler systems. The Apprentice Technician works under supervision and progresses through defined training requirements.
Assist with installation of fire sprinkler systems under supervision.
Use hand tools and installation equipment under supervision.
Participate in structured training and apprenticeship program requirements.
Develop technical skills and knowledge related to fire sprinkler system installation.
Transport tools, materials, and equipment to job sites.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
Support documentation and reporting processes as directed.
Work collaboratively with team members on active job sites.
Travel to job sites as required.
Other duties as assigned by management.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be enrolled in Pye-Barker’s formal and registered apprentice program.
Ability to follow instructions and complete structured training milestones.
Must have a clean driving record and active driver’s license (if driving is required).
Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
Performs other duties assigned by management.
Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various environments.
Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
Work performed in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.
Exposure to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites.
