Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience or training in the subject area being taught; teaching experience preferred.
• WTCS Certified Firefighter 2 required; Driver Operator preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor classroom/laboratory, enforce safety policies.
• Promote a learning atmosphere in arenas and training grounds.
• Serve as a resource for students.
• Assist with setup and takedown of fire training building and props.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly training environment.
• Monitor facilities and equipment conditions and refer for maintenance.
• Provide student reinforcement training and tutoring.
• Assess student performance across affective, cognitive, and psychomotor domains.
• Provide feedback to students and to the Fire Service Instructor.
• Assist with maintaining student records and requisition materials.
• Communicate with students, college, and team members; meet deadlines.
