Sciens Building Solutions in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an experienced Fire Service Technician with programming, troubleshooting, and repair capabilities to ensure life safety systems operate reliably.

You will work with the service team and clients, perform diagnostics on conventional, addressable, voice systems, smoke control, and networked solutions, and document repairs for NFPA compliance.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in repair or systems technician role within Fire Life and Safety.
• Knowledge of NFPA 72 and Article 760 NFPA 70.
• Ability to read fire system design drawings.
• Able to pass background check and pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair fire and life safety systems including conventional, addressable, voice, and smoke control.
• Program systems via laptop computers.
• Produce repair reports in accordance with NFPA for customer acceptance and billing information.
• Assist in managing vehicle inventory and repair tools.
• Provide support and guidance to other technicians.

THE POSITION IN A NUTSHELLSciens Building Solutions is seeking an experienced Fire Service Technician with programming, troubleshooting, and repair capabilities and experience. This position will work closely with our service team, and clients to ensure our critical life safety systems are repaired in an efficient manner to maintain their overall performance. This is a key position for our growing team and requires attention to detail in all aspects of system troubleshooting and repair. Customer and employee interface requires a high degree of effective human relations.
