Job summary

YDU JC Air Cond & Ref Inc.- Dubai is seeking a technician to conduct inspections and maintenance on Fire and Security safety systems. This role requires documented experience with low voltage electrical systems, a valid driver's license, and a High School Diploma or equivalent.

From $25 to $34 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications, this position comes with a competitive benefits package and requires the ability to work flexible hours, including on-call rotations.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections, testing, service, and preventative maintenance on Fire and Security safety product lines as well as similar competitive manufacturers’ product lines within.
• Work with low voltage wiring and associated devices for the operation of low voltage equipment.
• Complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding through communication devices such as laptop computers and/or hard copy.
• Follow and maintain a highly structured inspection schedule.
• Input, retrieve and archive inspection documents via laptop computer.
• Complete assigned inspections on time.

Required Qualifications

• Documented experience in low voltage electrical systems and Fire and/or Security Systems experience required.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Aptitude for troubleshooting systems.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
• Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings.
• Ability to work flexible hours including on-call rotation that may involve weekends to meet customer requirements.
• Demonstrate a high level of customer service.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Self‑starter that can work with supervision.
• Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
• Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, program schematics, and operational/product manuals.
• One to three years documented experience in low voltage electrical systems preferred.
• Access Control and CCTV Testing NICET certification preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $25-$34 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
