Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a Fire & Security Engineer for the Gloucester area. You will install, commission, service and repair intruder alarms, CCTV, access control and fire alarm systems, and support maintenance with a high first-time fix rate.

You'll work with NSI/BAFE standards, handle documentation, and contribute to continuous improvement while taking part in call-outs and on-site duties. A strong background in fire and security tech is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in Installation, commissioning, maintenance and fault finding of Fire and Security Systems for an NSI & BAFE registered company.
• Competent in the Installation, commissioning, maintenance and fault finding of Fire, Access control systems, Intruder alarms and CCTV.
• Competent on Conventional & Addressable fire systems including Advanced, Kentec, Ctec, Morley, Gent, Notifier Vesda.
• Experience in the use associated fire and security software.
• Experience with intruder alarms with key devices like Galaxy, Texecom, Eaton.
• Experience with IP CCTV systems with Hikvision, Dahua, Axis and Avigilon.
• Experience with Access control systems with Paxton, ACT Vanderbilt, Grosvenor.
• Experience with emergency lighting.
• Must have working knowledge of current British Standards for fire systems, Intruder alarms, Access control and CCTV.
• Desirable: BS5839, BS50131, PD6662, BS60839, NCP109, BS8418, BS6276, NCP104 and BS5266/FIA Units.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, service and repair intruder alarms, CCTV, access control and fire alarm systems.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance and reactive works with a high first time fix rate.
• Communicate effectively with admin, sales and operations teams to support efficient scheduling.
• Upload documentation, certificates, photos and job notes using the job management systems.
• Work on various Conventional & Addressable fire systems.
• Maintain accurate van stock, tools and overall vehicle condition.
• Participate in the call out rota and provide occasional remote support.
• Identify recurring faults or design issues and contribute to continuous improvement.
