Job summary

Our client is seeking a Fire and Security Engineer to cover Halifax/Bradford. You will service, maintain and commission a range of fire and security systems including CCTV and access control, while ensuring works comply with British Standards.

The role is customer-facing, requiring a proactive, self-managed approach to delivering high standards across multiple sites in your postcode area. Training on specific equipment may be provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of British Standards.
• Experience with Fire, Intruder, CCTV and Access Control.
• FIA units 1 and 5 knowledge is a plus.
• Outgoing and proactive personality.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and small works on sites within your postcode area.
• Work with fire and security systems and emergency lights.
• Fault finding and first-fix where possible.
• Adhere to British Standards at all times.
• Maintain a professional, customer‑facing image on behalf of the company.

The Role:

• To carry out servicing, maintenance and small works on a range of sites within your post coded area
• To work with a varied amount of both fire and security systems and emergency lights
• Fault finding to conduct a 1st fix solution where possible
• To work to the British Standards at all times
• You will be customer facing to maintaining a good reputation on behalf of our client is amust.

The Candidate:

• Good knowledge of the British Standards
• Knowledge of FIA units 1 + 5
• Experience in both Fire Systems, Intruder, CCTV and Access Control
• Knowledge of GENT and/or Notifier (desirable but not essential as training can be given)
• You must have an outgoing and proactive personality to manage own work and exhibit the company’s vision and values
