Job summary

Lone Star College seeks part-time Fire Science Skills Instructors to work with faculty to provide hands-on lab instruction and assist in achieving course objectives. The candidate will help in teaching, coaching Cadets and Firefighters within the program.

The role is limited to 19.5 hours per week, with schedule flexibility including days, evenings, and occasional weekends as needed. Join a college that emphasizes student success and safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with at least 3 years of experience.
• TCFP Level I Instructor or Fire Education Specialist Level I or IFSAC Fire Instructor 1 or higher.
• TCFP Field Examiner.
• Texas Department of Health Emergency Care Attendant (ECA) or higher.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and assist in skills instruction for students in the Fire Science Program.
• Teach and coach Cadets and/or Firefighters within the Fire Science Program under supervision.
• Maintain regular communication with course instructors.
• Assist in fire service-related skill evolutions and scenarios.
• Submit student learning reports and grade sheets; complete paperwork as requested.
