Job summary

Thompson-Safety in Farmers Branch, TX is seeking a Fire Sales Specialist to develop new business and generate leads within the assigned territory. You will build a robust pipeline to maximize growth for the company and expand our presence in the fire protection and life safety sectors.

The role requires proactive prospecting, effective use of CRM to document activity and track results, and strong rapport with prospects to win business.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree preferred or equivalent sales experience.
• Familiar with codes, products attributes, and procedures within the fire protection and life safety fields.
• Proficient with technology to increase the prospecting experience.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Company in developing new business opportunities through cold calls and leads.
• Utilizes CRM technology to document activity and track results.
• Maintains contact with prospects through sales calls and phone block.
• Develops new appointments through scheduled phone sessions to ensure activity and pipeline.
• Assists in Company marketing programs/initiatives.
• Contacts potential customers to initiate the sales process and win the business.
• Observes and benchmarks other Fire Sales Specialists to establish and replicate best practices.
• Consistently installs new business within assigned geography.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

• Familiar with codes, products attributes, and procedures within the fire protection and life safety fields.
• General awareness of business, financials, sales, and safety principles.
• Strong ability to utilize technology to increase the prospecting experience.
• Strong ability to prospect, close, and build rapport with prospects.
• Professional certification may be required in some areas.
• Maintains a valid driver's license, auto insurance, and ability pass a drug and background check.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, and talking on the phone, attending virtual online meetings, and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
• Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and travel when needed.
