Job summary

UL Solutions seeks an engineering professional to test and evaluate building assemblies for fire-resistance performance. A background in civil/structural engineering or construction management is required, with interest in building systems and fire safety.

Responsibilities include planning investigations, coordinating tests, communicating with clients, preparing data sheets, and applying UL requirements. Travel to client sites may be involved; strong MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in fire science, civil or structural engineering, or construction management.
• Ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Determines project scope, preliminary investigation plan, and specifications by analyzing client input and data.
• Travel may be required to conduct or witness tests at client sites and communicate benefits of services.
• Coordinate laboratory activities, prepare data sheets, and schedule technicians.
