Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Respond to emergency incidents by firefighting, rescue and emergency medical care; document emergencies.
  • Maintain station and grounds; perform minor station maintenance and work requests.
  • Assist with apparatus inspections and ensure equipment readiness; perform minor repairs.
  • Provide station and apparatus tours; deliver fire prevention presentations and safety inspections.
  • Participate in training; maintain certifications and assist training division.
  • Support department goals and adhere to City policies.

Education

High School Diploma or GED
Basic Firefighter (Texas) Certification
Basic EMT (Texas DSS or National Registry)
