Job summary

Encore Fire Protection in Vermont seeks a hands-on Warehouse Technician to keep inventory flowing and field teams supplied. You will maintain equipment, manage stock, and stage materials so crews can complete jobs safely and efficiently.

This role offers growth into field technician or other operations paths; a team-oriented culture, safety emphasis, and opportunities to learn Excel and inventory systems while supporting on-time service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical or industry experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license preferred but not required.
• 1–3 years of warehouse, shop, mechanical, or service experience.
• Hands-on experience with portable fire extinguishers or other life safety equipment.
• Familiar with basic safety standards in a shop or warehouse.
• Comfort using Excel or similar tools to track parts, materials, or inventory.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair, and maintain portable fire equipment and extinguishers under guidance from experienced team members.
• Learn and assist with basic system testing and inspections as needed.
• Look for equipment that is damaged, not working properly, or not meeting current requirements, and flag issues to the appropriate person.
• Maintain and update inventory records using tools such as Excel or other digital systems.
• Pull, stage, and prepare orders for delivery so field technicians have the right materials for each job.
• Receive, verify, and properly stock incoming materials in the correct locations.
• Keep the warehouse clean, organized, secure, and safe at all times.
• Assist drivers with loading, unloading, and deliveries when needed.
• Support daily warehouse operations and help with process improvements as you learn the role.
