Job summary

Total Safety is seeking a Fire Extinguisher Technician to inspect, test, maintain and repair a range of fire protection equipment, from extinguishers to detection systems. The role involves detailed documentation and on-site or offshore work in line with regulatory standards.

Applicants should have strong hands-on skills, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work in varied environments. Relevant licenses or NICET certification in fire protection are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of all regulatory standards (OSHA, NFPA)
• Ability to obtain required licenses or NICET certification in fire protection
• Experience with maintenance and testing of fire protection equipment

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, maintain and repair portable and fixed fire extinguishers and related life-safety systems
• Complete documentation accurately for inspections and repairs
• Conduct pre-job, job update and post-job briefs and coordinate with customers
