Silco Fire & Security is looking for an Advanced Fire Systems Technician Trainee in Columbus, OH. The role involves assisting in inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems and sprinklers under experienced technicians.

This hands-on program prepares you for certification and advancement within a growing, family‑owned company. You will work closely with senior technicians, develop detailed reporting skills, and participate in safety training and compliance with NFPA codes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical knowledge or low voltage.
• Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Proficiency with basic hand and power tools.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in inspection and testing of fire alarm systems and sprinklers under supervision.
• Support maintenance and repair of fire alarm and sprinkler systems.
• Document inspection findings and maintenance actions.
• Participate in ongoing training to enhance technical knowledge.
