WD Partners Inc. is seeking a Survey Technician for its Fire Protection team. The role includes frequent travel to client sites to perform site surveys and assist with design tasks.

You will work with a cross-disciplinary group and may work remotely within the US, with travel by car or plane when needed. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent education/experience, and has a willingness to travel several days per week.

We currently have an opening for a Survey Technician on our Fire Protection team. We are open to hiring for remote work in any location within the US. If you prefer to be out of an office and away from a desk most of the week, this might be the perfect job for you - and we only have one of these openings available currently! You will travel frequently to client sites - typically multiple days per week - local and/or overnight, via car and/or plane, to complete site surveys independently or with others on our Fire Protection and/or Field Services teams.

You will also work on design-related tasks to help our team take design and construction projects from a defined concept to completion. WD associates work collaboratively across integrated, cross-disciplinary teams of designers, architects, and engineers. In this role, you will get to work remote, travel the US, and grow your experience in fire protection systems and fire protection design!Preferred Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent education and/or experienceWillingness to travel as needed (typically multiple days per week)Must have a valid Driver's License and able to drive, travel by air, and rent a vehicle without restrictionsPrior experience in fire protection design, fire sprinkler design, fire alarm design, or fire protection system field installation is preferredPrior experience in site surveys of fire protection systems is preferredExperience using Revit is preferredPrior experience with restaurant, retail, grocery, and/or healthcare design projects is helpful
