Job summary

WD Partners Inc. is seeking an Associate Manager, Mechanical to lead and mentor the mechanical design team across diverse projects. You will guide technical direction, ensure on-time delivery, and maintain strict adherence to codes while facilitating collaboration with architects, designers, and engineers.

The role supports remote work from anywhere in the US, with emphasis on leadership, quality, and efficient project execution in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• PE licensure preferred but not required.
• Experience leading mechanical design teams and knowledge of relevant codes.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and technical excellence within the Mechanical team.
• Direct and oversee engineering associates while ensuring project success and high-quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with codes and regulations and promote collaboration with architects, designers and other engineers.

As an Associate Manager, Mechanical you will be responsible for leadership and technical excellence within the Mechanical team. You will support, direct, and oversee other engineering associates while ensuring the successful completion of projects, maintaining high-quality standards, meeting project deadlines, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and codes, and promoting seamless collaboration with other stakeholders within an integrated team of architects, designers, and engineers.

Our Mechanical team is one of five in-house engineering disciplines within WD. In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with architects, designers and other engineers from electrical, structural, fire protection, and civil engineering backgrounds.

Location:

We are open to hiring for remote work from any location in the US.

Preferred Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant engineering field and/or equivalent knowledge gained from education and/or work experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is preferred but not required
• Experience managing teams that are designing mechanical systems and knowledge of relevant codes
• Proficiency is Revit and AutoCAD is required
• Experience working on restaurant, grocery, retail, healthcare or similar projects is helpful
