Job summary

WD Partners Inc. is seeking a Structural Designer to move projects from concept to completion, designing building systems and producing construction documents.

The role requires performing engineering calculations and coordinating with a team of designers, architects, and engineers across projects with travel to sites as needed. The position emphasizes collaboration within a cross-disciplinary team and the ability to work on diverse projects, including hospitality, retail, and healthcare

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or equivalent
• Experience in structural engineering design for buildings and production of construction documents
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit

As a Structural Designer, you will work within a team to take design and construction projects from a defined concept to completion. You will design building systems, perform engineering calculations, produce construction documents, travel to job sites, and prepare technical documentation while working collaboratively to coordinate your work across an integrated team of other designers, architects, and engineers.

Location: We are open to hiring for remote work from any location in the US. This role does require travel approximately once a month, local or overnight, via car and/or plane. Must be able to rent a car and travel by air.

Preferred Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or equivalent work and/or technical education experience
• Previous experience in structural engineering design for buildings and working on production of construction documents
• Demonstrated experience and competency with required software programs, including AutoCAD and Revit
• Experience working on restaurant, grocery, retail, or healthcare is ideal
• Comfortable working in a cross-disciplinary team environment
