Job summary

TEC Carolinas in Fort Mill, SC is seeking a Fire Protection Sprinkler Systems Foreman to lead installation, modification, and repair of commercial fire sprinkler systems on new builds and tenant improvements.

You’ll read blueprints, plan layout changes, ensure NFPA 13/25 and NC/SC Fire Code compliance, promote safety, and coordinate with customers and field teams to deliver high-quality results.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• 3+ years of fire sprinkler installation experience.
• Knowledge of NFPA 13 and 25 and NC/SC Fire Code.
• Role-specific safety training; ability to perform overhead work using ladders and scissor lifts.
• Driver’s License, strong pipefitting and blueprint-reading skills, and excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform installation, modification, and repair of fire sprinkler systems for new installs and tenant improvements/build-outs.
• Spot code issues early; recommend and implement fixes that meet NFPA and local requirements.
• Handle office layout changes—relocations, additions, and reconfigurations—to align with new designs.
• Promote safe practices at all times; model and enforce company safety policies.
• Collaborate professionally across teams and with customers; represent TEC Carolinas in the field.
• Maintain and stock a company-provided vehicle; track tools, parts, and equipment.
• Drive continuous improvement by sharing ideas that enhance speed, quality, and safety.
• Take on related tasks as needed to ensure project success.

Schedule: Full-time, on-site, Monday–Friday (40 hours/week)

• Do you enjoy leading installers while keeping quality, safety, and timelines on track?
• Can you read blueprints and plan symbols and translate them into efficient field work?
• Are you comfortable on ladders and scissor lifts, and fluent in NFPA 13, NFPA 25, and NC/SC Fire Code?
• Do you take pride in a well-organized service vehicle and a clean jobsite?
• Can you communicate clearly with customers, building engineers, and property managers?
