Job summary

Northstar Fire Protection of Texas, Inc. is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Designer to design and lay out fire protection systems for diverse projects.

You will craft layouts using AutoCAD/HydraCAD and prepare hydraulic calculations and pipe lists for pre-fabrication. Responsibilities include reading contract documents, BIM modeling, field surveying, and providing fabrication lists while coordinating with trades to ensure precise designs.

Qualifications

• Associate or Technical Degree in a technical or business discipline preferred or equivalent experience.
• Fire Protection design experience preferred.
• NICET certification preferred.
• AutoCad experience and/or Hydratec Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for designing and the layout of Fire Sprinkler systems
• Read, analyze and interpret contract documents, including all disciplines of construction drawings and specifications
• Write, plan, coordinate, and make presentations to individuals and groups
• Work with and comprehend mathematical concepts including hydraulic calculations and project cost analysis
• Develop positive and ongoing relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction
• Provide fire sprinkler designs with AutoCAD, HydraCAD, and AutoSPRINK
• Responsible for BIM modeling and field surveying
• Provide lists for fabrication and coordinate between the trades
• Other duties as assigned

We are a nationally recognized fire protection company that engineers, fabricates, and installs fire sprinkler systems and alarms for structures including commercial buildings, government buildings, healthcare facilities, high-rise condominiums, and mixed-use projects.

Job Summary

Northstar is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Designer who will design Fire Protection Systems for all types of projects. You will design layouts using AutoCAD/HydraCAD and create hydraulic calculations and pipe lists for pre-fabrication.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
