Job summary

Northstar Fire Protection is seeking a Fire Protection Project Manager to lead the construction of high-quality fire protection systems. The role involves coordinating with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.

The ideal candidate will manage multiple projects, understand bid documents, and drive on-site execution while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction and timely completion.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of construction and fire protection sprinkler / alarm systems.
• Computer literate and comfortable with spreadsheets and computerized software programs.
• Excellent communication skills with customers, vendors, subcontractors, general contractors, and owners.
• Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple Fire Protection projects from conception to completion.
• Attend project jobsite and startup meetings and define the full scope of work.
• Review all project bid documents and ensure alignment with project goals.
• Assist with change order estimates and cost control.
• Coordinate with General Contractors and Construction Managers for scheduling and meetings.
• Prepare and submit equipment submittals for approvals.
• Assist accounting with billing information and project financials.
• Maintain and follow Operations and Maintenance manuals.
• Collaborate with engineering and estimating staff as a team.
• Submit and retrieve permits from local AHJ.
• Procure materials required for the project and manage purchasing.
• Support field operations and site execution as needed.
• Maintain focus on customer satisfaction while handling details.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects for Fire Protection Systems.
• Attend project jobsite meetings, start up meetings and understand the complete scope of work required for projects.
• Review and understand all of the project bid documents.
• Assist with change order estimates.
• Coordinate with General contractors and Construction managers for scheduling and other coordination types of meetings.
• Complete equipment submittals of various products for approvals.
• Assist accounting staff with billing information.
• Maintain and follow Operations and Maintenance manuals.
• Work as a team with our engineering and estimating staff.
• Submittal and retrieve permits from local AHJ.
• Purchasing of selected materials for your project.
• Assist and provide support for field operations.
• Able to see the overall requirements of customer satisfaction without losing sight of the details.
• Other duties as assigned.
