Job summary

Grunau Fire is seeking a Fire Systems Inspector to support our fire protection services in Youngstown, OH. The role focuses on inspecting and testing fire sprinkler systems, alarms, extinguishers, and related equipment to ensure safety and compliance.

You will generate detailed reports, recommend corrective actions, and stay up-to-date with NFPA standards while maintaining equipment and coordinating with the team. A high school diploma is required; NICET is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with customers.
• Experience in fire protection industry preferred.
• NICET certification preferred or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems and alarms.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and recommendations for corrective actions.
• Interface with Inspection Coordinator to ensure work per scope.
• Maintain equipment, supplies and company vehicle in good working order.
• Learn NFPA standards and stay current with code requirements.
