Job summary

CTS Complete Technical Services seeks a Principal HSED Engineer - Fire Protection to lead fire protection design across Pre-FEED, FEED and Detailed Design for oil & gas projects. You will develop P&IDs, layouts, and safety studies, coordinating with global teams and subcontractors to deliver compliant, practical solutions.

The role requires a PE license in TX/LA and 6+ years in fire protection engineering within oil & gas, LNG, refining or petrochemicals.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Fire Protection Engineering is preferred.
Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas and/or Louisiana.
Minimum of six (6) years of fire protection engineering experience in the oil and gas industry.
Strong communication skills interfacing with clients, contractors and teams.
Proficiency with fire protection software and engineering tools used for design, studies and calculations.

Responsibilities

Develop and deliver fire protection designs, studies, specifications, calculations, and drawings across project phases.
Prepare and support fire protection deliverables including P&IDs, layouts, equipment location plans, envelopes and documentation.
Develop and review safety studies: fire protection, fire hazard analysis, electrical area classification, fire water demand.
Provide technical leadership and apply fire protection principles for safe project design.
Coordinate with clients, contractors and global teams on deliverables and requirements.
Support field surveys and incorporate field information into deliverables.
