Job summary

Jensen Hughes seeks college students for a Fire Protection Engineering internship across multiple locations in the United States. You’ll gain hands-on experience in life safety, fire protection, security, and mass notification on diverse projects.

You will develop drawings, plans, and inspection reports, assist with field investigations, and perform basic calculations under supervision. A pursuing bachelor's in engineering with strong communication and problem-solving is required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Ability to read and interpret codes, standards, and technical documents.
• Strong written and oral communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops, modifies, and reviews system drawings per standards.
• Assists in plans, specifications, and inspection reports.
• Supports field investigations and design coordination on projects.
• Conducts basic analyses (eg, egress, fire protection) and calculations.
• Communicates effectively with project teams and clients.
