Job summary

Fluidstack in New York seeks an experienced Fire Protection Engineer to design and deliver robust protection systems for modular data-center units and BTM plants. The role emphasizes end-to-end ownership of detection, suppression, and alarm designs for mission-critical infrastructure.

You will run hydraulic calculations and device layouts, push fabrication-friendly details, and support permitting and commissioning with AHJ and acceptance tests.

Qualifications

• Designed fire protection systems for industrial or mission-critical facilities.
• Run hydraulic calculations and stand behind them.
• Led designs through plan review and acceptance testing.
• Know NFPA 13 and 72 well and look up the rest fast.
• Designs engineered for fabrication, not just code minimum.
• Bonus: knowledge of clean agent and water mist systems, BESS protection work, AutoSPRINK/HydraCAD
