Job summary

EwingCole in Irvine, CA is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary team focused on life safety and fire protection systems design for complex projects.

The role covers code analysis, Life Safety Plans, sprinkler and fire alarm design, reviews with AHJs, CFD/Egress modeling, and collaboration with architects and engineers across regional and national projects.

Qualifications

• BS in Fire Protection Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• Registered Professional Engineer in at least one state.
• Experience with NFPA codes and fire protection design.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Code Studies for complex projects.
• Prepare Life Safety Plans for complex projects.
• Prepare Fire Suppression and Fire Alarm contract documents.
• Assist with code reviews/interpretations.
• Lead meetings with clients and AHJs.
