Job summary

Bowman is seeking a Fire Protection Consultant I to join our Towson, MD team. You will support senior consultants in analyzing fire protection and life safety systems, assist with code research, and help prepare technical reports and drawings.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s in a related engineering field and are pursuing EIT or NICET certification. Travel to project sites may be required; strong writing and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related engineering field.
• EIT is preferred or able to obtain.
• NICET or other fire protection certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support project teams in the analysis and design of fire protection and life safety systems.
• Assist with fire and building code research and interpretation.
• Prepare reports, calculations, specifications, and design documents.
• Participate in site visits, field investigations, and system assessments.
• Maintain project documentation according to quality standards.
