Job summary

HFA is seeking a motivated Fire Protection Engineer I to join our growing team and contribute to the design and coordination of fire protection and life safety systems for a variety of project types.

This role offers hands-on experience with code analysis, hydraulic calculations, construction documentation, and project coordination, working alongside experienced designers in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• BSME or BS Fire Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and REVIT for construction documents.
• Knowledge of NFPA codes and life safety standards.
• Experience with hydraulic calculations and code analysis.
• Ability to lead small projects or portions of large projects.

Responsibilities

• Engineer will collaborate with Fire Protection Engineer and team to deliver construction documents.
• Lead small client teams or portions of projects leveraging Fire Protection knowledge.
• Develop, implement, and draft construction documents for projects.
• Apply NFPA and life safety standards to design work with minimal oversight.
• Design and draft fire sprinkler, fire alarm, and underground piping systems.
