Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of fire protection or life safety engineering experience.
• Strong ability to research codes and apply findings to design deliverables.
• Proficient technical writing for AHJ reviews and submissions.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit for design coordination.
• Ability to coordinate with AHJs, architects and clients.

Responsibilities

• Research and interpret NFPA, IBC, IFC, and related codes and standards.
• Develop performance-based design narratives and life-safety reports.
• Prepare design scopes and layouts for sprinkler and alarm systems.
• Perform hydraulic sprinkler calculations and reviews.
• Support CAD/Revit coordination with internal teams.
• Coordinate with architects, AHJs, clients, and contractors.
• Conduct field verifications and assist QA/QC.
• Mentor junior staff on code applications and system layouts.
