Job summary

Coffman Engineers, Inc. in Honolulu is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer with a minimum of five years of experience who is passionate about their craft and seeking an environment that promotes professional growth.

You will provide fire protection consulting, including automatic suppression system design, fire detection and life safety analyses, code/egress/smoke control evaluations, and collaboration with internal disciplines on local projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and/or Fire Protection).
• Fire Protection License by examination (US).
• EIT and P.E. licensure required.
• Minimum five years dedicated to fire protection.
• Ability to obtain US military security clearance.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD; REVIT desired.

Responsibilities

• Perform fire protection consulting for internal and external clients.
• Design automatic suppression systems and fire detection/alarms.
• Conduct code, egress, and smoke control analyses.
• Collaborate with internal disciplines on local projects.
