Overview
Fire Protection Engineer with five to ten years of experience. Honolulu office. You will help strengthen our fire protection engineering team and work closely with other internal disciplines to design a variety of local projects.
Responsibilities
- Perform Fire Protection consulting services for internal and external clients.
- Design automatic suppression systems; fire detection, alarm and mass notification systems.
- Conduct code analysis, egress analysis, fire resistant construction analysis, smoke control analysis.
- Apply general fire protection and life safety concepts and research.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in engineering from an accredited college or university (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and/or Fire Protection).
- Fire Protection License by examination issued by any state in the United States.
- EIT and P.E. (Professional Engineer) required.
- Minimum of five years of experience in the fire protection profession.
- Strong desire to support, build, and advance Coffman’s fire protection engineering department.
- Passion for client experiences and design; ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to learn the latest technologies and practices to enhance professional growth.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Military Security Clearance.
- Ability to work with AutoCAD; REVIT experience is desired.
Compensation
Expected annual salary of $90,000 – $120,000.
