Job summary

Newcomb & Boyd, a multi-discipline engineering firm in Atlanta, Georgia, is seeking an experienced Fire Protection Engineer to join our team. The role focuses on designing fire suppression and fire alarm systems, and coordinating with in-house disciplines and clients to deliver integrated solutions.

You will prepare 2D/3D construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit, bring strong technical foundations, and contribute to a collaborative, growth-oriented environment with flexible, hybrid work

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Fire Protection Engineering.
• Four years’ experience in the consulting business, including water-based extinguishing systems, fire alarm and mass-notification, smoke control, and special hazards systems.

Responsibilities

• Design fire suppression and fire alarm systems.
• Prepare 2- and 3-dimensional construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Coordinate design efforts working closely with our in-house disciplines, architectural clients, and building owners.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Demonstrates proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.
• Possess a solid technical base with desire to learn, lead, and grow into Senior Engineer and Project Management positions.
• Prioritizes effectively, have good follow-through, and practice self-implemented quality control measures.
• Ability to communicate well in writing, as well as verbally

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Fire Protection Engineering.
• Four years’ experience in the consulting business, including water-based extinguishing systems, fire alarm and massnotification, smoke control, and special hazards systems.
