Job summary

Fire & Risk Alliance, LLC is seeking an entry to senior level Fire Protection Engineer to develop reports for indoor and outdoor battery energy storage systems, analyze hazards, and prepare emergency plans.

You will design fire protection systems in AutoCAD, review submittals, and conduct site walkdowns, collaborating with a lead engineer to deliver code-compliant solutions. This on-site role in San Diego requires travel to other offices and client sites.

Qualifications

E.I.T. or P.E. licensure preferred.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and CAD software for fire protection design.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent problem-solving abilities.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or related field.
Ability to collaborate with a diverse team and clients.
Willingness to travel for site surveys and walkdowns.
Knowledge of battery energy storage systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop technical reports for battery energy storage systems (hazard analyses, emergency plans, risk analyses).
Design fire protection systems (fire alarm and fire suppression) in AutoCAD.
Support hospitality team with design, submittals, and site walkdowns as needed.
Code analysis, report generation, and providing practical, code-compliant resolutions.
Collaborate with a lead engineer on each project.
