Job summary

Fire & Risk Alliance, LLC in San Diego, CA, is seeking a senior fire protection engineer to develop technical reports for battery energy storage systems, conduct hazard analyses, and review fire protection plans.

The role includes project management, client relations, QA/QC, code analysis, and report generation, delivering practical, code-compliant solutions tailored to client needs. An in-office position with travel to client sites as required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in fire protection engineering.
• P.E. certification required.
• BESS experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Ability to collaborate with a diverse team and clients.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical reports for battery energy storage systems (hazard mitigation analyses, emergency response plans).
• Conduct fire protection code consulting analyses (high-piled storage, hazardous materials, lithium-ion battery storage, alternate material and method requests, fire protection plan reviews).
• Involve project management, client relations, QA/QC, code analysis, report generation, and providing practical and code compliant resolutions to address client needs.

Salary Range:

$120,000 - $150,000 per year
